Biography.

Vaiteani is Polynesian, born and raised in Tahiti. She was drawn to music from a very early age and studied classical piano for more than ten years. Later, she taught herself to play guitar as a student in France. Very soon, she began to write and perform her own songs.

A meeting with multi-instrumentalist Luc Totterwitz gave a boost to her artistic development. Today, they are still working together, constructing a unique musical environment.

She had barely returned to Polynesia when she won a competition: “9 Semaines et 1 Jour” (9 Weeks and 1 Day). She went on to appear on the main stage of the Francofolies festival in La Rochelle, France, before a crowd of more than 10,000. Warmly encouraged by Laurent Voulzy, president of the jury, she is continuing to write songs, working on her first album.
